Nader Bozorgi, MD

Founder 

Dr. Bozorgi founded Magna Health Systems in 1973 and continues to innovate its healthcare offerings. In 2008 Dr. Bozorgi was honored by Becker's ASC as "40 Physicians to Know".  

Magna Health Systems, LLC (“MHS”) was founded as a model of patient–centered and physician-driven healthcare management. We founded our business on the premise that healthcare facilities managed by physicians partnering with experienced healthcare administrators have material strategic advantages because physicians retain control over patient care issues, ensuring the highest possible quality without sacrificing efficiency. By responding to the needs and desires of patients and physicians, we are able to create state-of-the-art facilities that lead the industry in quality, innovation and efficiency.

Founded in 1973, MHS has pioneered the development of ambulatory surgery centers (“ASCs”) in the Chicago area, with 3 freestanding ASCs and a number of medical and ancillary service corporations.  MHS has been a leader in ambulatory surgery since its inception and maintains JCAHO and AAAHC accreditation at all of our surgery centers.  Our focus on quality medical care, patient satisfaction and physician input in an ever-changing environment has driven the success of MHS over three decades.

Since 1973, MHS has grown and diversified its interests in healthcare. Currently approximately 150 full-time employees work at MHS and over 300 physicians are credentialed to perform procedures at MHS freestanding ASC’s. The range of surgeries performed encompassed the full scope of surgical specialties, from ENT to urology. In addition to outpatient surgery facilities, MHS operates DayOne Health Outpatient Weight Loss Surgery programs.

In the last several years MHS has initiated a program of partnering with physicians and Chicago’s top medical institutions to further its mission of providing cutting edge quality patient care. A program–based approach to practice growth has successfully created specialty programs in Bariatric Surgery, Infertility, Pain Management and Breast Care.
