AMBULATORY ANESTHESIOLOGISTS OF CHICAGO 

Founded in 1999, Ambulatory Anesthesiologists of Chicago (AAOC) has developed into one of the largest outpatient-focused ambulatory anesthesia groups in the Chicagoland area.  MHS believes strongly that the success of ambulatory surgery centers depends on outstanding outpatient-focused ambulatory anesthesia services.  A recent acquisition of a competitor has enabled AAOC to expand its reach.  Currently, AAOC employs 27 full-time and 3 part-time anesthesiologists. All AAOC physicians are board certified or board-eligible anesthesiologists. AAOC provides anesthesia services to 12 ambulatory surgery centers throughout Illinois

MIDWAY MEDICAL CAMPUS

Midway Medical Campus is a 58,000 foot Class A medical office building located in Bedford Park, approximately 1.5 miles from Midway Airport. Three key tenants of Midway Medical Campus include Magna Surgical Center, SKAN Radiology, a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging facility and CPC Pathology, providing laboratory services. Additionally, the building houses physician offices covering many specialties of medicine. Midway Medical Campus offers physicians and medical practices an opportunity to capitalize on beautiful, brand-new setting with a robust patient flow. The facility is a synergic mix of physicians and specialists who want to provide high quality convenient care. 

900 NORTH MICHIGAN SURGICAL CENTER

The flagship of MHS ASC’s, The Surgery Center at 900 N. Michigan Avenue is located in the heart of downtown Chicago’s Michigan Avenue shopping district. After years of ownership by a large corporate healthcare system, the struggling ASC was acquired by MHS in 1999 and transformed into a successful JCAHO-accredited, Medicare-certified multi-specialty surgery center and state-of-the-art facility. In 2008, the Center earned the distinction of becoming the first outpatient surgery center to be granted Bariatric Center of Excellence status from the Surgical Review Committee, placing it among the top academic institutions in the country for outstanding bariatric surgery outcomes.  In 2012, the Center was fully renovated and expanded to 5 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms. The professional staff is composed of over 125 physicians comprised of private practitioners and full-time employees of local academic hospitals. The Surgery Center specializes in a wide array of surgeries and procedures such as bariatric surgery, general surgery, ENT, GI procedures, gynecology, infertility, neurology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, plastic surgery, and urology.  

MAGNA SURGICAL CENTER

Southwestern Medical Center (SWMC) d/b/a Magna Surgical Center was founded in 1987 and in July 2011 moved to a brand new physical plant in Bedford Park, offering the latest technology and equipment to its surgeons. This new center allows SWMC to proudly continue its tradition of outstanding patient care. This 13,000 square foot JCAHO-accredited, Medicare-certified ASC manages three operating suites and one procedure room, performing approximately 2700 surgeries in 2012. The case mix performed at SWMC includes ENT, GI procedures, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management procedures, plastic surgery, podiatry, and urology. SWMC maintains a professional staff of approximately 75 surgeons, many of whom have been active members since its inception.
